DAVID S. MIERS

PT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dave offers over 25 years as a highly skilled Manual Physical Therapist, and has worked in a variety of clinical settings throughout the US. Dave’s diverse clinical background and extensive post graduate educational course work has afforded him to become one of the most highly trained Physical Therapist in the country.

Dave obtained his Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) in 1995, and after completing a 2 ½ year postgraduate program in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy, received the distinction of Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT). This is a clinical distinction that less than 1% of all physical therapist in the US have received, requiring over 440 hours of clinical practice under the supervision of an existing Fellow, 200 hours of classroom study and a rigorous live patient exam and test.

Dave enjoys sharing his clinical knowledge by teaching courses in Manual physical therapy throughout the US, and is a faculty member of the Manual Therapy Institute.  Dave is an expert in identifying biomechanical and movement dysfunctions, and correcting them by providing a specific, unique and individualized treatment program. Dave’s patients are amazed by how specific and exact the treatment is. He often hears comments like, “I have had therapy before, but no one has ever been able to help the way you do.”  Dave strives to get quick and focused results for his patients where others have failed.

Dave is an Army Reserve Veteran, a former college football player and ex varsity high school football coach, as well as a golf/work out nut. These passions led to Dave pursue a certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
